| The favourite area for the British to purchase holiday homes, on the Greek mainland is the Peloponnese and there are plenty of properties for sale to choose from. The southern part of mainland Greece, now divided from the mainland by the Corinth Canal. The peninsula hosts some of the most important and imposing ancient sites in Greece. It has a warm winter, it\'s not too hot in summer and the beaches are clean.
